Our Founding Father and Presiding Archbishop Deric Neale Bircham was appointed as Presiding Bishop to New Zealand and the South Pacific Nations for The International Fellowship of Christian Churches (USA) in 1996 with the Title of “The Reverend Bishop”. His Appointment to the worldwide office of “The Spirit Filled Fellowship Global” was on July 28, 2005 and elected Inaugural Archbishop on July 28, 2008. His guidance & sphere extends globally on behalf of the Fellowship with many Pastors under his spiritual influence, direction, guidance & mentoring in Africa, Europe, the Far East and the Pacific.

Bio-background in brief:
Archbishop and Academician Professor Emeritus Dr. Deric Neale Bircham is the fourth son of Stanley Ernest and Rita Muriel Bircham (both deceased). Born December 16th 1934 in Wellington, New Zealand. His family ancestry can be traced back through the Squires of English Villages in Norfolk to 1360. He holds both British & New Zealand Nationality and married Patricia Frances Bircham, (nee Simkin) in 1960.

They have two daughters, Vanessa & Melanie and 6 grandchildren. Education in brief 1985 Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) with a major in "Visual Communication". 1987 a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a Thesis in "Psychological Management". In 1994 he was awarded a Ph.D in “Religious Literature” with his Thesis being “Old St. Paul’s” and in 2000 completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration and duel Doctorates in Science and Complimentary Medicine with his Thesis’s being "Nerve Stimulation", and "Nerve Stimulation Therapeutics" respectively.

He studied advanced Acupuncture in Sri Lanka at the South Colombo Hospital under the late Lord Pundit Professor Dr. Sir Anton Jayasuriya and attended post-graduate Seminars and Courses in "Pain Management" and "Sports Medicine" held by The Royal Australian General Practitioners Association. He was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Prize for Alternative Medicine,” and a Certificate of Excellence in the Healing Arts from Medicina Alternativa.

He also received the Laureate of Honour with the appointment of "Royal Physician" of the Ancient Royal Order of Physicians of Sri Lanka dedicated to the memory of King Buddhadasa. Many other Awards of Excellence in Education and Services to Humanity followed.

In 2005 he was granted a Ph.D in Arts and Letters from California University, USA. His studies continued and in 2007 he received a Doctor of International Business Law from Southern Eastern University (Founded 1899).

Since 1984 he has received numerous Doctorate Degrees Honoris Causa from Universities around the World in Philosophy (different fields), others in Psychology, Literature, Science, Letters, Music, Alternative and Complimentary Medicine, Humanities, Political Science, Science, Education, Orthomolecular Medicine, Pedagogy, Public Relations, Jurisprudence Law and Divinity.

Occupation History:
1952-1978. New Zealand Public Service (Publicity & Public Relations)
1978-1989. Appointed to the Staff of the University of Otago and Otago Hospital.

Award from President Lee of Taiwan for services to Mental Arithmetic. 2005 made a Commander of the World Order “Science, Education, Culture” (Belgium). 2007 Peace Award from the Community Welfare Foundation. (India). In 2007 The Yuri Gagarin Medal (Russia) as well as many others.
